My Girlfriend’s Jeans is the blog/project of Amanda Mae, a self-proclaimed groupie, music fan, merchgirl, and writer who currently hails from Chicago, IL. She plays a few instruments, like viola, guitar, and accordion, had a gig as a college radio DJ for a few years, and she’s mainly into those bands that no one has heard of. For instance, she followed Jump, Little Children on tour for awhile, slept on the couch of the lead singer of the Modern Skirts, and has worked merch for such bands as Tin Cup Prophette, Run Dan Run, and Jay Clifford.
Amanda Mae’s best friend Taylor is a sometime contributer to the blog, but is very busy getting an edumacation at the moment. Taylor is one of the scene queens of Charleston, SC and Athens, GA, and on her 21st birthday had the cellist/lead guitarist of Jump, Little Children do a striptease for her. (You’ll notice that J,LC pops up frequently in our reminisces.) She is also very involved in the wizard rock community, and always makes sure the Whomping Willows have gas money when they blow through town.
